Appetizer To Dessert: Whipping Up An Italian Dinner With Pasta Gift Baskets
We’re big fans of Italian food here at Bisket Baskets, and as we personally taste test each and every gourmet food variety that goes into our gift baskets, we couldn’t resist whipping up a big ol’ Italian dinner with our Pasta Gift Baskets! We came up with a stress-free dinner line-up, and invited a few family members and friends of Bisket Baskets over to enjoy our pasta gift baskets. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed it, and we wanted to share our dinner menu with you, too – whether you’re choosing pasta gift baskets for yourself to make dinner easier, or sending off as a gift to a lucky friend, family member, colleague, or client!
There’s a lot of pressure on the appetizer to be absolute perfection, as it really sets the tone for the rest of the meal. Our appetizer choice is Tomato Rosemary Focaccia, and is so simple – 1 tube of refrigerated pizza crust, 2 tbsp of olive oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tsp dried rosemary, 2-3 thinly sliced plum tomatoes, and 1 thinly sliced onion. Unroll the pizza crust, and sprinkle a combination of oil, garlic, salt, and half of the rosemary over the pizza crust. Spread the tomatoes and onion on the top, and sprinkle the rest of the rosemary over it. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes, and then cut into small rectangles. Our Healthy Family Meal Gift Basket, one of our pasta gift baskets, does include roasted corn chowder as a secondary appetizer, too!
Our pasta gift baskets, including our Grandma’s Pantry Gift Basket, feature rainbow angel hair pasta, which we paired with a homemade alfredo cream sauce that our guests raved about! Simply heat 1 cup whipping cream, ¼ cup butter, and 1 egg over medium heat. Add 1 minced garlic clove and 1 tsp parsley to the mixture, and then start slowly melting ½ cup fresh, finely grated Parmesan cheese in. Once melted in, simply pour it over the angel hair pasta in your pasta gift baskets, and enjoy!
If the appetizer sets the tone, the dessert makes the memories. We went with a classic Italian dessert that was a bit lighter after enjoying a hearty Italian dinner – the lemon bars in our Pasta Gift Baskets! We easily followed the instructions in our lemon bars dessert mix, and voila! Our appetizer, dinner, and dessert was so simple to create and personalize, and very delicious on the palate!
